What Seventh-day Adventist churches generally believe
Adventists believe in the Trinity, Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died and rose again, and the Bible as God's Word, and salvation by grace through faith in Christ. Distinctives include keeping the Sabbath on Saturday (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset), expecting Christ's soon return, baptism by immersion for believers, and a strong emphasis on healthy living.
Compared with Catholics and most Protestants: Adventists worship on Saturday rather than Sunday, baptise only believers, and teach that the dead rest until the resurrection. Like other Protestants they hold Scripture as the final authority and have no Pope.
