Is what they find accurate — and yours?
Every church in our directory has a listing, built from public data whether anyone at the church has seen it or not. Claiming it is free and takes about five minutes — you take over the service times, the description, and everything a first-time visitor decides on.

Common questions
Is the basic listing really free?
Yes. Every church listed on NearFaith can be claimed for free. You can edit your service times, contact info, description, and visitor details with no payment ever required.
What does Premium add?
Priority placement in search results, a "Top Pick" badge on your listing card, promoted events, and listing analytics so you can see how people are finding you. $29/mo, billed monthly via Stripe. Cancel anytime.
Will my listing disappear if I cancel Premium?
No. Cancelling Premium just removes the priority placement and the badge. Your free verified listing stays live.
How do I prove I represent the church?
We email a 6-digit code to the address you provide. The code confirms you have access to that mailbox. We recommend using an email tied to your church's domain (e.g. you@yourchurch.org) to speed things up.
Who edits the basic data on a church listing?
Until a church is claimed, the listing is generated from publicly available sources (Google Places, public directories). Once you claim it, you control all editable fields and your edits override the auto-generated data.
Can I claim multiple churches?
Yes — claim each one separately with its own verification email. If you manage a multisite or denomination, contact hello@nearfaith.com and we'll set you up.
Who runs NearFaith, and is this legit?
NearFaith is a small, independent directory — not a denomination, a nonprofit, or a data broker.
See the real numbers behind it — churches listed, listings claimed, records hand-verified →Will claiming our listing help or hurt our own website's SEO?
It doesn't affect your own site's search ranking either way. Your NearFaith listing links back to your website, so visitors who land here have an easy path to yours — it's an additional door, not a replacement for one.
We already have a Google Business Profile. Why do we need this too?
They serve different moments. A Business Profile shows up in Google Maps and local search; NearFaith is where someone goes specifically to compare churches and decide where to visit. Claiming here costs nothing and takes a few minutes on top of a profile you already keep updated.
Can we get our listing taken down if we'd rather not be on NearFaith?
Yes. Email hello@nearfaith.com from the church and we'll remove it — no charge, no runaround.
