What Lutheran churches generally believe

There are two sacraments — baptism (including infants) and the Lord's Supper, in which Christ's body and blood are truly present. Worship is usually liturgical. Lutheran bodies (e.g. ELCA, LCMS, WELS) differ on some teaching and practice.
Compared with Catholics: Lutheran worship is among the closest to the Mass of any Protestant church, and both believe in Christ's real presence in communion, but Lutherans teach justification by faith alone, recognise two sacraments, and do not accept the Pope's authority.
