General guidance · Evangelical Free Church (EFCA) churches · not specific to Daybreak Church
Contemporary or blended worship, in-depth expository preaching, and strong small group ministry. A strong emphasis on personal faith and Bible study.
Evangelical Free churches balance conservative biblical theology with a warm, accessible culture. You'll find serious Scripture teaching in an inviting environment.
What Evangelical churches generally believe
Evangelical churches believe in the Trinity, Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died and rose again, and the Bible as God's Word, with Scripture as the final authority. They emphasise personal faith in Jesus Christ, salvation by grace through faith, sharing the gospel, and practical Bible teaching. Most baptise professing believers.
Compared with Catholics: evangelicals affirm the same core teaching about God and Christ, but hold Scripture alone as the final authority, usually recognise two ordinances (baptism and the Lord's Supper) rather than seven sacraments, and have no Pope.
